Monash Hospital Upgrades COMPLETE!

The second phase of the Andrews Labor Government’s $76.3 million emergency department expansion and traffic improvement plan at Monash Medical Centre has been completed.
The project has delivered an additional 28 emergency department beds and an extra 6 short-stay beds as well as refurbished 41 adult emergency bays.
This project includes a specialised addition of an Emergency Department Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Hub, as well as a separate dedicated children’s emergency area. This helps to ensure that patients receive the right care in the right environment.
Monash Health is the largest health service in Victoria and sees nearly 5% of the state’s emergency cases at the centre in Clayton. The Victorian Government is delivering expanded and improved facilities, and enhanced service delivery, to meet the needs of our growing local community.
